On your mark...get set...GO!
There are three things that happen every morning. They usually occur in this order and always in rapid succession; Mitchell crying, Owen screaming "MOMMY" repeatedly at the top of his lungs, and Johnny barking and tossing his bone in the air. Not even a second to wipe the sleep from my eyes before springing into action.
If we're lucky, the chaos begins after 6 am and the action is pretty much non-stop until around 9 pm. I know, what did I expect? I'm honestly not sure but I will say this, I miss easing into the day.
In addition to being a metaphor for the start of the day, on your mark, get set, go is one of Owen's favorite games. Owen loves running. So much so that I can understand why people put their toddlers on-leash. I am in constant awe that a two year old can be so interesting, opinionated, hilarious and energetic.
Aunt Amy had an up close and personal view into our exciting lives during her recent visit to Rhode Island. Owen had a great time playing with this big kid and together they burned off some of his seemingly boundless energy.
At this point Mitchell is pretty much along for the ride. Fortunately for me, he's calm and laid back, and have I mentioned...adorable?
